There is a difficult stage between when a divorce is filed and when it is resolved that every divorcee can attest is a bit odd. Technically, you are still married but you are learning how to navigate life as a single person. During this time, you will have a lot of stress to deal with as you work out the deals of the divorce. We can help you to find out what decisions you need to make and what options you have for each one.

Throughout this period, you need to make sure that you are protecting your interests. This means that you are watching what you do and say. One place where you shouldn’t air out the dirty laundry is social media. Even if you want to speak out about your problems so that you can get support, you should avoid doing this. You never know who will see your posts and screenshot them or report back to your ex with the contents. This could work against you during the divorce.

We realize that you are free to do as you please, even during the divorce. We don’t want you to feel like you are being stifled, but we do want you to think about how your action might appear during your case. For example, showing off pictures of you on a yacht might show the fun night you have, but your ex might take those pictures as proof that you have hidden assets, so be careful about what you do. If you have any questions about how something might be perceived, we can help you answer that question as we work on your divorce.
