On Behalf of | Feb 15, 2018 | Uncategorized

The child custody matters that you will have to decide when you are going through a divorce can take an emotional toll on you. There aren’t usually easy answers in these cases, but when you and your ex aren’t really getting along, the difficulties are usually increased. It is imperative that you take a step from the emotions and think with a level head about what is best for your children. We understand how challenging this is for any parent. We are here to help you think about the important points.

One thing that you need to do is keep your child at the heart of the matter. Instead of trying to make decisions just to spite your ex or just to make your life easier, you need to do what the children need.

In most cases, it is best for you and your ex to both play a role in the child’s life. Of course, there are some exceptions to this. Your child might not need to be around an ex if he or she is abusive or violent. Drug abuse and similar issues might also lead to some custody challenges.

There are options to address many child custody issues. You might have to think outside of the box so you can find creative solutions. These might include unconventional visitation schedules or unusual parenting arrangements. As long as you are providing an environment where your child can thrive and that is fully legal, you can likely use these solutions. We will help you find the answers that you seek for your children.
